Moving and 10 Block Challenge Reflection

During these assignments, I learned how to give different sprites different actions but have them do similar things. In the 10 block challenge, I had 2 different cats and a bug doing actions starting with different things like the space bar being pressed or the sprite being clicked and I used the "go to:x got to:y" and also the "glide" to have them complete the same tasks. During the moving, I put a finish line for all 3 sprites to cross.

Debugging reflection

Throughout this assignment, I have learned many things about the way the scratch program works. I have learned through the de-bugging that it is easy to find the problem after you simply read what's supposed to happen and then read what's wrong. I used the strategy to read the directions so I could fix the problem given to me. For examples I have given all of my information in  my debugging post.

Reflect-2

http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/39736596/

I useed the strategy of finding what was wrong and asking myself and the people around me if there was a way to fix it, which there always was. If someone else needed help, I would use the strategy of going to my scratch and showing them what I did.

Debugging Solutions

1- To fix this we should check the script of gobo to make sure him an scratch cat both have the actions to start dancing. http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/39968340/
2-We should get the "replay" bracket around the actions so scratch cat continues to glide. http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/40432204/
3- We go to he controls and make sure the "when this sprite is clicked..." button has been activated and not any of the other ones. http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/40432964/
4-If this is happening we should activate the "turn 15 degrees" button so scratch cat is on his feet. http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/40432964/
5-We should either edit wheat the cat is saying or put the replay bracket around it. http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/40435356/

Reflect

In this activity, I have learned a lo about the way scratch works. The restraint of the challenge impacts my ideas because sometimes I want to make a sprite do something that it isn't able to do, like giving it a different sound or make it have different forms of movement. However, there were no things I had to de-bug because everything went according to plan.

Scratch Reflection-1

What surprised me about this activity was how simple it was to make the cat move. Being led step by step through the process made it very easy to understand. I like having more structure when a lesson is being taught, so I'm forced to pay attention. I feel like having freedom when working on a sheet or a scratch program. I feel the most creative when given loose ended directions, such as the dancing sprite.
